GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
Once purchased, the seeds should be soaked in warm water for 3–4 hours using a 2 parts boiling water to 3 parts cold water ratio.
After soaking, rinse the seeds with clean cold water and drain them well.
Next, sow the seeds directly into the prepared planting beds.
Ensure proper spacing — about 7 cm between seeds and 10–12 cm between rows.
After sowing, cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil (about 2 cm thick) and water thoroughly to moisten the entire bed
During the plant care process, farmers should pay close attention to fertilizing times to ensure the best growth for the crop:
First fertilization: 7–10 days after sowing.
Dilute urea with water and apply in the late afternoon.
Mix 10g of urea per 10 liters of water, then the next morning rinse the leaves with clean water to prevent leaf burn.
Second fertilization: 3 days after transplanting.
Use a mixture of urea + DAP + oil cake water.
Third fertilization: 10 days after transplanting.
Use the same mixture of urea + DAP + oil cake water.
Note: You can use soybean oil cake or coconut oil cake.
When purchased, the oil cake should be soaked in water for 10–15 days until it breaks down completely before using it for watering — this ensures better nutrient absorption.
If using foliar fertilizer, spray once every 7–10 days.
Recommended types include 95% Canadian seaweed organic fertilizer or HVP 401N, which is specially formulated for vegetables.
Suitable Harvesting Time
When the plant has 5–7 mature leaves, it is ready for harvest — usually 50–60 days after sowing or 35–40 days after transplanting.
You can either pull up the entire plant or cut it about 7–10 cm above the root to allow new shoots to grow again.
After each harvest, add worm compost to nourish the soil.
To start a new crop, loosen the soil and let it dry under sunlight for 2–3 days.
Then, add a mixture of worm compost and soil into the container, leaving about 2 cm from the rim
